Elements of Effective Wayfinding

Think about the last time you visited a mall: Did a directory help you find a favorite store? Did signs offer easy, clear directions to the food court? Did a map show where to find restrooms or the customer service desk? Each of those elements are part of what’s called “wayfinding.” A clear, effective wayfinding system can improve efficiency, keep workers safe, and increase organization in facilities of all sizes.
